Hey, I’m Ellie Prince, I’m the creative director, boudoir photographer, makeup artist and confidence coach here at BU Photography Studio. I absolutely love boudoir photography! I’ve had the immense pleasure of helping over 5000 women embrace their beauty, confidence, and self-love through the art of boudoir.
My journey into photography began in 2009 while I was studying for my BA in Event Management at uni. Initially, I shot weddings and kids, but my love for capturing intimate, empowering moments quickly took over. My first boudoir shoot back in 2009 opened my eyes to the transformative power of this experience.
Since then, I’ve had the honour of working with a diverse range of incredible women, each with their own unique story. From different ages, sizes, and backgrounds, I’ve seen first hand how boudoir photography can be a life-changing experience. The inspiration to specialise in boudoir came after a close friend asked me to capture her in a way that made her feel empowered and beautiful. Witnessing her transformation through my lens sparked a passion in me that has only grown stronger. There’s truly nothing like helping someone see themselves in a new light and capturing the essence of their strength, beauty, and confidence.
Over the years, I’ve honed my craft, becoming a proud member of prestigious photography organisations like the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and the National Photographic Society (NPS). I’ve also earned photography qualifications from The Photography Academy, where I sharpened my technical skills and artistic vision to create stunning, empowering images.
What I love most about boudoir photography is the way it captures genuine emotion and celebrates individuality. I’m all about creating a safe, relaxed atmosphere where you can truly be yourself. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, confident, and utterly beautiful in front of the camera, resulting in stunning, authentic photographs that you’ll cherish forever.
My work has been featured in DIVA magazine in 2018 and “Lensational” magazine in 2023. I’ve also been honoured with several awards, including Prestige Awards Boudoir Photography Studio of the Year 2025, Global Award Winner for Boudoir Specialist of the year 2024-25, Business Awards UK winner 2023 for Photography Newcomer, a nomination for the Women’s Business Awards, and the Quality Business Awards Winner since opening BU Photography Studio in 2023.
