Hey there, I’m Ellie Prince, and I absolutely love wedding photography! With over 15 years under my belt, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of capturing the love and happiness of so many wonderful couples on their special day. My journey into photography kicked off while I was studying for my BA in Event Management at uni. I had this grand plan to dive into weddings and events, but my love for photography and the arts quickly took over, and I ended up shooting my first wedding back in 2009.
Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to work with a diverse range of lovely clients, photographing weddings of all ages, sexualities, and backgrounds in all sorts of venues. This experience has really helped me adapt and capture the unique essence of each couple’s love story. I was inspired to specialise in wedding photography after capturing my best friend’s wedding. The sheer emotion, excitement, and love I caught through my lens sparked a passion that’s only grown stronger. There’s truly nothing like being part of such a significant day in a couple’s life and helping to tell their love story through my photography.
I’ve really honed my craft over the years, becoming a member of prestigious photography organisations like the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and the National Photographic Society (NPS). I also hold photography qualifications from The Photography Academy, where I sharpened both my technical skills and artistic vision.
What I love most about photographing weddings is those candid moments that capture genuine emotions. I relish the challenge of telling a unique love story through my lens, focusing on all the little details that make each wedding so special. My goal is always to create a relaxed atmosphere that lets couples be themselves, resulting in natural, genuine photographs that truly reflect their personalities and love story.
I have had my work published in DIVA magazine in 2018 and “Lensational” magazine in 2023. Plus, I’ve been honoured with a few awards, including Business Awards UK winner, a nomination for the Women’s Business Awards and the Quality Business Awards Winner since opening BU Photography Studio in 2023.
